One of the biggest in influences in Barack’s life was his mother. After she had Barack and his little sister Maya, she did not give up on her education. After being separated from Lolo, she came back to Hawaii to get her master’s degree in anthropology. She has set a great example for her children. I believe that this has influenced Barack to do better in school and not give up on his education. I admire her for attending school again and raising two kids with only her student grants. (Pg. 75)
